Lady Blue is the copyrighted work of the talented Amy Brown II The Hollow I am bits and pieces of many things, a little of them all making up the whole which is me, druid, wizard, elf, and fairy. I have the powers of the first two, the earthiness of the third and the airy freedom of the last. There are many myths and legends concerning my birth, perhaps only Zodd, The Wizard Most High knows the truth. He is the eldest and the wisest of all the sorcerers I have met. Ah! but he keeps much to himself and only smiles at most of my questions. So, with little to go on but, the folklore passed on down through the ages and my adventures and misadventures along the way, this is the most likely of all the stories I have heard. My Father was Lord King Alphecca, my Mother, Faerial, Imperial Queen of the Faerie Veil and I the spirit of both their souls, their love was born on Halloween. The last Halloween before the "Great War." The reasons why the war was fought are obscured in mystery. Oh! once again there are legends, there always are of envy, greed and power and the land torn asunder by the evil of these but, that tale is for a later time in these reflections. It is enough to say, that both my parents were killed in this great battle over the powers of Good and Evil and that I was orphaned at any early age. I too, would have become a casualty of the fight had not a merciful elfkin family found me and protected me during this time. They hid both me and themselves deep within the roots of the Laurel Elder Tree, we came to call home. It was while within these gnarled roots that I became well versed in elfkin lore and yes, I grew and grew to love my adopted family. Indeed, to believe in no other heritage, no other beginnings, but theirs. The tree that housed and hid us, nurtured us in the ways of the forest and in ways we did not fully understand. It was as if I was predestined to begin life here within its confines. To this day I feel my natural parents watched over me there, even if only in spirit. Perhaps it was from them that we drew so, much comfort and so, much a sense of belonging to this sacred ground from which our very spirits found sustenance. This was the only Laurel Elder Tree in, the Land Of As Is and it grew here in this magical place, called by one and all "The Hollow."
