The moon,
pale and full,
stole out from behind the
clouds,
no longer playing peek-a-boo with the
night.
It slipped across the midnight sky,
spinning moon glow into
moonbeams,
reams of sweet dreams dancing down,
until they kissed the ground
with magic.

That Sorcerer, The Moon,
Streaking starlight in his wake,
with those spells he casts and he creates,
casts a wary eye.
Now shimmering aglow,
just beneath, below.
Crystal blue and clear
drenched in his moonlight cape,
It waited expectantly, patiently,
for what next would come to be.
The Enchantment had begun!

The Wind blew through the trees,
whispering follow me.

A Wild Dove flew out and up
scattering their leaves and saying
"Raise me up to thee,
let me drink of Thy loving cup."
Soaring high into the sky,
snowy white against the night. It flew, Poetry in flight,
bathed in Moon Magic, this moonlight.
Its graceful wings outspread encircling overhead.
And then shuddering,
Spilling moon beams from its wings and crown,
drifting down, gently, ever gently
onto these sacred waters,
floating down, shedding too,
a feather from its wing and a sweet vine
carried in its beak.

And the pool of Purity wept,
as the dove began to speak,
His thoughtful
prayer unto
The Father of the Night.

He rejoiced and bowed his head
saying,
"Father let me give
my Freedom and my Flight,
on this star filled wishing
night,
to these sacred waters
drenched in moon and in
you, too!
May they be sanctified,
purified, un denied,
Renewal in this everlasting
pool."
And
Father Night spoke too!
One word, Yes
and Lake Innocence was
born.

Rippling on the water
both the feather and vine
Now, slicing into, innocence
through the surface,
of its glass like face,
they entwined and they
embraced.
Slipping deeper, deeper still
savoring this drink, it
drank its fill.
Till it touched its deepest
depths, combined.
The merging of their souls,
the water, feather, vine no longer thirsting
but made whole.

Then bursting forth with
Thy life force,
it bloomed, miraculous this flower,
conjured up within this sacred hour.
Rising up and up and to the surface,
breaking through
drenched in bits of soul and sustenance,
no sweeter fragrance in the air than she!
The first Mystic Rose was born and then set free.

Brought forth and come to be,
of this Innocence, this Lake.
Now, given up and Shared
with the world for its very sake.
Peace, sweet contentment in its breathe
and for every beating breast
who sees, and breathes and knows
the blooming petals of this rarest and most
wondrous, the
Eternal Mystic Rose.

Mt.
Thorn raised its mighty head
up and up and high
to this enchanted moon,
this lantern in the sky.
And within its trembling fingers,
vines so fresh and green and new,
took his arms of forests wild
and raised this precious bloom
from the Lake and up to You.
Oh Father of the Night !

This Ancient Moon so revered, too
held this flower in its warm and tender embrace,
tracing the lineage of the human race
within its very soul.
Moonlight kissed this flower
wrapped up in magic mists
for moon glow is made of this.
And set it gently on the ground
where it was picked and it was found
by a young girl in the woods
who had watched
and waited and understood.

The
Mystic Rose by LaMythica click on her name to visit her site.
The Eternal Mystic
Rose was given she
and she to it, they so, named,
the unattainable and yet, attained.
Now, of one spirit
and one name.
And like the Wild Wood Dove of White,
eternally in flight,
its greatest freedom to fly in harmony
and be as it was born to be.

She was given this mission too,
to give her heart, this rose,
this gift, this forever flower, to every
believing spirit...
that they might feel and they might know
peace as it was meant to be
living
within our humanity.

Listen, watch and hear
the Mystic Rose is calling through these mists holding out this
rose she's protected and she's kissed.
Calling softly,
"follow me, believe in it and me!"
And she turns and walks
away into Eternity.
