Leopard Swim

Leopard Sleeping or Dreaming of You?

Amber eyes ablaze, Appraise.
Misshapen dots of spots, Amaze.
In a cooling pool of sun lit rays
The Big Cat splashes, water sprays.

Swimming stops, the leopard stares
Watching, waiting, looking where?
Flexing muscles taut and tight
Surliness and might take flight.
Eyes are keen, body lean.
Stalking, killing, fierce, he's mean.

Sleek and slim his body leaps
Snarling teeth of thrashing feet.
Fur that shimmers, body trim
Whatever you do, don't swim with him!
Rising, growling, prickly claws reach out
Pouncing quickly, prey slayed, no doubt!
