War Witch

Stars fell, the ground shook,
the darkness answered,
death.

No light could burst,
the immense and dank shadow,
which covered the ground.
And the freezing cold,
which chilled each heart
and wrapped itself,
around the bone,
could not be dispelled.

Nor could the trembling fear within,
tearing through the soul
with its bony fingers,
Be quelled.
And she had come,
Her spell had been cast.

Her fist had broken,
the human spirit
And rendered it's soul unto her.
And her verdict,
Destruction.
Death.

War!
